The Origin of TeaCrystals®

It all started on a regular day at the office. I was on a diet and decided to drink a cup of tea from one of the most famous tea brands. But honestly, it didn’t taste like anything. So I thought: “Let me add sugar to it.” But that was unhealthy, was the other thought in my head… Then I thought of honey, to give it a bit more flavor. But when I did that, all I tasted was honey and the original tea flavor was completely gone.

While I was looking at my cup of tea, I also found the presentation very dull. And then I started thinking: "Why is there such a big tea market, but no innovation? Why has tea become so old-fashioned and boring, while 71% of the Netherlands drinks tea daily and everyone loves tea and grew up with it?"

These thoughts kept running through my head. And then I thought: "We can do better." That's how the idea for TEE.® was born. We wanted to find a solution that would preserve the pure taste of tea, with a natural sweetness and a fresh, modern look.

The Magical Journey to TeaCrystals

It started with a dream: a new, refreshing way to enjoy tea. After a long brainstorming session and coming up with our concept, we knew we had something revolutionary. We started looking for a tea producer that shared our vision, this search was certainly not easy but eventually we found a top-class tea producer from the Netherlands. This producer, with an impressive portfolio, including productions for famous Michelin-starred restaurants, felt like the perfect match from the first conversation. After a few months of intensive collaboration, this producer officially joined the company and is now head of production within TEE.®

It was the beginning of an exciting adventure. We set out together, determined to create a tea product that is both delicious and healthy, and at the same time a showcase of quality and innovation. For more than two years, we conducted countless tests, worked long nights and did not overlook a single detail.


Our exclusive TeaCrystals® are carefully composed blends of top quality, without unnatural additives. Our production process takes place in the Netherlands under strict EU standards and is carried out by hand by our own star tea producers. With our fruit flavors we add real fruit that is dried, ground and processed for optimal taste experience and preservation of vitamins and nutrients. After blending, the blends are crystallized in fresh, unprocessed natural honey from our beekeepers and then rolled into TeaCrystals®. Discover how dreams become reality with TeaCrystals®.
